This painting began as black then reds were added followed by layers of blues and greens. With each new layer, the colors beneath were randomly scraped into shapes upon the new layer until a forest emerged. Adding tissue paper helped identify the leaves and the dominant yellow application determined the direction of Palms.
My paintings are finished with several coats of UV protected varnish to preserve their brilliance.
