There is a maple tree that I pass in the Autumn with such an extraordinary array of changing colors...that it stops me in my tracks. Like a seamless rainbow, the greens transition into lime then gold then orange then pink then scarlet...leaving me breathless. This painting is meant to honor the gift of that experience.
My paintings are finished with several coats of UV protected varnish to preserve their brilliance.
